Meet the Founder

Yannick Krähenbühl, Founder

Yannick was born and raised in Switzerland to Brazilian parents. He began working in construction at 14 years old, and over several years, worked mainly as a carpenter and general contractor on luxury chalets throughout the Swiss Alps, doing everything from woodwork to painting, electrical work, masonry, and more.

At 19, he moved to London to pursue a professional career as a mixed martial arts fighter. Two years later, he relocated to Los Angeles to continue competing at the professional level. At 25, a permanent injury brought his competitive career to an end.

Around that time, several of his private martial arts students inspired him to step into entrepreneurship. That encouragement led him into renewable energy, an industry he quickly found himself genuinely passionate about.

Today, at 28, Yannick has helped homeowners across Southern California, and beyond, take control of their energy future. Drawing on the same discipline and hands-on work ethic from his years in construction and competitive sport, he built Prime Solar Advisors around one simple idea: homeowners deserve a straightforward, honest guide through one of the biggest decisions they'll make for their home.
